Construction Bids for Long Bridge Park Aquatics Center Come In “Significantly Higher”

“Arlington County Manager Barbara Donnellan today said that construction bids for Long Bridge Park Phase II, which includes the Aquatics, Health and Fitness Facility, came in “significantly higher” than the County architects’ estimate, and she therefore will not be bringing the construction contract to the County Board for its consideration in early 2014, as she had planned.”

This development adds to John’s position that the gold-plated aquatics center should be scaled back and reconsidered.
